Kanye West Invades DC

Last month, on May 17th, Kanye West projected his new video, New Slaves, on 66 buildings around the world. Last night he projected the same video on 8 buildings around Washington, DC and I was able to see one. Did the thousands who attended one of the screenings get the thrill of a lifetime? Maybe.

Show Review: The 6th Annual Roots Picnic (Part 2)

The sun was still shining bright in Philly a little after 5pm. The crowd had swelled to capacity and everyone was ready to see the indie artist that now boast two multi-platinum records. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were up next and everyone wanted to see them. You don’t have the success they have had and have sellout shows around the world with a bad stage show.

Show Review: 6th Annual Roots Picnic (Part 1)

Festivals are test of how much you like live music. You stand for hours, rain or shine, hoping to discover new artist and to see your favorites perform well. At The 6th Annual Roots Picnic held at Penns Landing in Philadelphia I was able to achieve both. The festival included not just music but photo booths, clothing and jewelry vendors, food and drinks, great people and more.
