Show Review: Fabolous and Pusha T at Howard Theatre

On Saturday I was lucky enough to catch two shows. The first show was at Howard Theatre and featured Fabolous and Pusha T on The Life Is So Exciting Tour presented by MTV. I’m a fan of both and was excited about the collaboration. Both artist have a good fan base and lyrically two of the best. With them both having a good mix of classics and new songs I was expecting a great show.

Broccoli City Festival: A Good Time For A Good Cause

This past Sunday Half Street Fair Grounds played host to Broccoli City Festival, Washington DC’s first urban Earth Day celebration. It turned out to be a great event that included art, musical performances, food, games, a market and much more to entertain the almost 5,000 people in attendance.

Show Review: Lianne La Havas at 9:30 Club

I can honestly say that I was late finding out about the phenom that is Lianne La Havas, but I am glad that I was put on by my Tumblr fam. For weeks, it was “You ain’t got no Lianne, nigga?”. So… I downloaded her album (legally, of course) and instantly fell in love. She truly makes music for love. Her album was voted iTunes Album of  The Year in 2012. Just a great body of work. So in true Husk fashion, I had to see her live. BEST DECISION OF 2013.
